Darin White – “Changing the Game – Key Trends Driving the Business of Sports”

Darin White is founder and coordinator of the Sports Marketing program in the Brock School of Business at Samford University. He serves as the Chair of the American Marketing Association Sports Marketing Academic Society (SIG), the leading international scholarly body charged with expanding the knowledge base of the field of sports marketing.

He is a go-to source for media seeking insights into sports business and has been featured in the Washington Post, USA Today, NPR, ESPN Radio, Saturday Down South and the International Business Times. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Sports Foundation, the primary lobby responsible for bringing sporting events to the state of Alabama.

Recently, Mr. Whites sports marketing program at Samford University made a national impression on the world of sports when his team of seniors pitched their strategic marketing plan to increase fan engagement within the millennial generation to Jason Kaufman, Vice President , Market Research and Analytics for the National Basketball Association.
